This is a sound logo I composed for the closing credits of vidoes on Google Tech Talks. The sound had to be synchronized to an animated text logo. The first phase of the animation spelled out titles letter by letter. So to sonify that kinetic energy, I used a fast arpeggio on a bell-like tone generated by Native Instruments Reaktor. I combined it with a pad from Native Instruments Absynth to give it a more grounded feel. Phase two brought up a totally different set of text. So I switched from the NI synths to Spectrasonics Atmosphere to play an interval based sound layered with another textured pad. The effect of the two sonically distinct sections gave a pleasing rising phase followed by a settling phase.
